Harmony Labor Day Weekend Free Fair Concessionaire Terms and Conditions

  1. No concessionaire may sublease any space.
  2. All concessions must be opened and staffed from 9am to 8pm on Saturday. Sunday and Monday. On Friday from 3pm till 8pm.
  3. No portable heaters are allowed in any concession space.
  4. No signs, posters, etc. are to be stapled to any building, pole, tree, etc. Signs must be neatly printed and displayed on an easel.
  5. Canvassing, solicitations, counseling or meeting must be confined to the concessionaire's space and in no case may be extended into any other part of the fairground.
  6. All concessions must check in at the Patriarchs Club office before setting up.
  7. Concessions do NOT have grandfather rights to any particular location, and may be relocated or eliminated if the Patriarchs Club determines it is so advisable. Ordinarily, a concession will not be relocated or eliminated unless either the club has determined the locations should be left vacant for open space reasons, or the concessionaire fails to comply with the Patriarchs Club standards and requirements.
  8. No tent stakes may be driven through the pavement and all tents of less than 576 square feet must be freestanding, on a frame, with no exterior guy or tent ropes.
  9. Concessions that are unprofessional in appearance or which provide poor quality of product or services, or whose employees fail to cooperate with club officials, are prohibited. "Wooden structures" are not prohibited but all structures of wood must be painted or stained.
  10. Operators of gambling concessions should be aware that the Patriarchs Club, as the licensee, would impose its own standards, which may on occasion be stricter than the State law.
  11. In order to facilitate cleanup work, no vehicles shall be kept in the midway area or the perimeter road overnight. Vendors are responsible for their booth plus adjacent area. Booths creating special cleanup problems must cooperate with the cleanup crews and may be charged a supplemental cleanup fee.
  12. No vendor shall be a nuisance to its neighbors by reason of unreasonable noise, odor, refuse, or other cause.
  13. No permanent wooden buildings shall be built on the fairgrounds, or moved in, without the permission of the Patriarchs Club.
  14. No concession shall break down or remove his exhibit from the fairgrounds before 8pm on the closing day of the fair.
  15. All concessions must have a current Certificate of insurance prior to opening.
  16. Failure to sell or exhibit what the contract states will be just cause for removal of product and/or concessionaire.
  17. The use of electrical ovens and/or fryers is prohibited.
  18. No obscene posters, hats, T-shirts, or other items may be displayed or given away as prizes nor may any item deemed a nuisance (i.e., canned string, stink bombs) be sold or given away. Failure to comply will be just cause for removal of product and/or concessionaire.
  19. A concessionaire may be required to leave the fair for noncompliance with these rules and regulations, and in such case no refund or rental or other refund will be made.
  20. All food concessionaires must provide the Club with a copy of their Current State of Maine Department of Human Services Food Vendor's License, or proof of payment before setup.
  21. All vehicles shall leave the fairgrounds by 9am. Noncompliance with this State of Maine mandate could result in your being asked to leave the fairgrounds.
  22. Gray water and grease will be disposed of as per the State of Maine Eating and Lodging Rule 10-144A-cmr 8.1.c.1.
  23. Safety is everyone's responsibility! All unsafe situations should be reported to any Patriarchs Club official or Security. We hope you enjoy your visit with us.
